Crafty Ladies Collaboration Ale
A willingness to try a lot of new beer is understood with membership to the Crafty Ladies Beer Club, but their enthusiasm reaches beyond sipping on brews and learning about new breweries. Aside from their monthly meetings at Highland Tap and Burger, over the last couple of months a craft beer project with Epic Brewing, Novo Coffee, and the Ladies themselves has been in the works and is ready to emerge from the brewery to your pint glass.
In May, Epic brought breakfast for dinner inspired parings to the monthly Crafty Ladies meeting. From their Son of a Baptist Imperial Stout to Escape from Colorado IPA, from donut holes to HTB’s own three pepper candied bacon – they seemed to have the breakfast flavor spectrum covered. But what they were really excited about was yet to come – the coffee cream ale, a style that Epic has yet to brew themselves.
After refining the recipe, the third round of the collaboration ale was sampled this week and given two-thumbs up by those in attendance before the preview party next Thursday at Highland Tap and Burger. According to John Turk, Epic’s Colorado Sales Rep, “we’ve got a homerun on our hands.” The beer is smooth with some vanilla notes on the nose and of course, coffee on the finish.
Kick of GABF weekend right! Come try the Coffee Cream Ale and celebrate with the Crafty Ladies, Epic Brewing, and Novo Coffee at Highland Tap and Burger on Thursday, October 6 from 4-6p.m.
